New Code Numbers for Utah's Weapon and Firearm Laws that took effect May 7, 2025
The New Weapon and Firearm Codes that took effect on May 7th, 2025 is now found in Title 76 Chapter 11 (instead of Chapter 10) and Title 53 Chapter 5a. Just go down to the Section numbered links in the column to the left of the described code section. Clicking the link will take you to the described code section. The substance of each of these code sections has not changed much except for the section number plus a few minor improvements. I'll attempt to highlight these improvements as I run across them. Some of the old sections have been divided into more than one section for clarity. I continue to work with a core of pro-2nd Amendment legislators to protect and enhance the right to keep and bear arms here in Utah.
